s the management team of KOPATNAS, we spent a lot of time with farmers household in the field, and thinking about how to
develop them in favorable interconnecting with stakeholders (financial institution, market & Government) and others I dealt with,
during years. we have proposed to stakeholders to view a problem in this passionate way, to put aside provincial point of view,
and to look evidence and the broader interest, before making a decision which were often on short term and self interest, cronyism,
or political party interest. Those are neglecting the interest of the nation. As the result, many decisions were misleading.
he Link and match between the world of education and the jobs, was expected
to be able to reduce the number of unemployments of graduates from SENIOR
HIGH SCHOOL and the tertiary institution. Indeed this is an ideal concept
supposed to be and not “ a mission impossible”.
OPATNAS as a co-operative movement should be able to play a strategic central role in the eradication of rural poverty, in the viability and sustainability of rural communities, in establishing an economic base for farmers and other rural entrepreneurs.
ue to interconnectiveness among several aspect on the real sector
issues, it is not to be solved by a single action. It has been proved that
in the past that government policy on subsidization only, which is not
supported by the strengthening of Farmers cooperative movement is
going to be a failure.
Indeed, the cooperative movement in Indonesia is supported by
Law and the constitution (Chapter 33 UUD 1945). Unfortunately,
the cooperative movement in Indonesia is interrupted by collusion,
corruption and nepotism (KKN). However, the cooperatives as
known as the third way in the global economy remains the most
appropriate option.
